DVB-T/H modulator - IF output
Full DVB-T/H modulator - IF output
The DVB-T/H modulator modulates an MPEG-TS DVB-SPI input into a OFDM output in Intermediate Frequency (IF). DVB-T/H COFDM modulator block diagram

The MVD DVB-T/H modulator is a drop-in module for FPGA that includes the following functions :
  • Input data framer (or SFN FIFO) from DVB-SPI source (MPEG-TS flow)
  • DVB-T modulator
    • Energy dispersal
    • Reed Solomon encoder
    • Convolutional interleaver
    • FEC convolution encoder
    • Inner interleaver
    • QPSK/QAM symbol mapper
    • Framer with pilots & TPS inserter
    • IFFT and guard interval insertion
  • Flexible Digital Up Sampler
  • Modulator for FI output
  • Output for simple DAC (14 bits) or complex DAC (2x16bits)

Available options

  • SFN, including memory controller
  • Linear pre-correction
  • ETSI, DVB-T/H (EN 300 744 V1.5.1) compliant baseband transmitter for Digital Terrestrial Television
